years later, the 1080i HD standard increases the resolution up to 1920 x 1080. In basic terms, these numbers describe the number of dots, or pixels, going down and across your screen. The more pixels used to "describe" your picture, the better the quality can be. There is a limit, however, only because your eyes and brain can no longer tell the difference at certain sizes and distance away. HD is the present and the future of the television watching experience.

Most TVs that are sold today are 720 or 1080 HD with 1 or more HDMI inputs.

As of January 2010 we have 46 local and network high definition channels (16:9 format, 1080i and Dolby 5.1 surround) with more coming in the near future.

High Definition TV requires more "bandwidth or pipe" than standard definition. Although most customers can get at least 1 HD TV, due to this requirement, HD is not available to everyone at this time. To see if it is available for you, call us at 296-2885

** marked HD Channels are only available when you subscribe to Gold or Gold Plus packages.
